Well that should have been nice during the war! Hey look, a very bright light on the horizon, must be a spitfire ...  ;D

What a stunning model, so cristal clear shots ....

Very nice work on the pilot, but perhaps someone should tell him he'd look better if he didn't fly with the canopy open all the time. Beats a face-lift though!   ;D

Nothing wrong with the shots Fido pal, look just fine to me. That light looks fine in 2K2 from any zoom or angle.
I gave my copy the Paul Rebuffat panel. I use this on all my panel-less Spits, but with the panel, the DVC does not show correctly. As I always fly for the 2D or from outside, this does not bother me at all.
Pilot looks great also pal.

Fido. I spotted this light which I thought was unusual. I don't remember any problems like yours with it in FS9 but would prefer not to have it at all. I must investigate.

Tempest. You can activate the DVC in any panel by copy/pasting the original [Vcockpitxx] entries into the new Panel.cfg. Replace/delete any existing DVC entries. I think this would also work with an aliased Panel.cfg. ;)

This is the DVC entry for the MZ Spitfire Vb.

Thanks for the comments
omag:
I don't know how to rework the underlying pilot model, was lucky to be able to repaint pilot at all. The plane does not show up in my FSPaint, had to use Windows Paint to modify the pilot who, IMHO looked very Japanese.
ozzy:
Thanks, nice Sig Pic. ;)
Tempest:
Will give it a try, I usually fly V/C but use 2d for most heading and alltitude changes, instruments are usually easier to read for my old eyes.
Hagar:
Let me know if you discover anything, I would just as soon have no light than what I have now. I will try your fix on a couple of Spits that have bad V/Cs.

Has anyone noticed that when you pull up the gear, the pilot puts on his oxygen mask, IMHO, very cool. I also find her to be quite docile, yet maneuverable, with out a version of CFS to fly, I'm not sure how she would fare in combat, though in FS9 she's a real lady.

I can't find anything in Aircraft.cfg so the light must be defined in the MDL. In that case we have to put up with it.

The DVC will only work with the aircraft it was designed for. The Spitfire Mk V entries I posted will be no use for any other Spitfire.

I guess maybe I'm too picky, or maybe you need to visit an optometrist. ::) I have seen better pic on a drivers license. Thanks though. You are being way to kind.

Tempest:

So far I've made the texture disappear, and the DVC,  but I'll keep trying, if Hagar's hunch is right, I have no way to work on the MDL.

Your avatar looks fine, I was refering to my pics. I must say, nice to see who I'm talking to. In my case, you're better off with a picture of a Border Collie. I won't be responsible for blinding a fellow flyer.
