I was flying over London in the morning and I was visiting big Ben I noticed this structure glowing in the background. So I decided to investigate. It looks like UFO landed in London or is this some kind of Stadium with spikes sticking out of it!

It's the Millenium Dome.

Not a bad pic...but a tad too big. :)

I am a retard man, I don't know how to resize pics. I will probably get banned from posting soon  ;D! but what can I do? thanks for filling me in on that. I know London recently built that Ferris wheel to stand as the worlds largest accross the waters from the BIg Ben Clock tower. But I never knew about that stadium.

its not really a stadium, Its empty i believe now, it was a huge mistake to build it in the end as it was never popular

Mav316, find and download screenshooter. It is a screen shot tool that automatically resizes your pics. You tell it where to store the pics, what format to save them in and then set a slider for quality and press the print screen button as often as you want and it does everything for you. I personally use it and it has never done me wrong. I use the folder that it puts my screenshots in as my screensaver and I have not had a bad shot yet. Give it a look.

And BTW nice pic, even if it is over twice the size it should be.

The Millennium Dome is regarded as a big white elephant. I think the vast majority of ordinary people in this country believe the vast amount of money wasted on this useless folly could have been put to much better use. ::)

I find IrfanView will resize screenshots or other images quickly & easily. It's all I ever use for this purpose. The link is posted on the Upload Images page.

Thanks rifle man, So this Mellinium Stadium is a money vaccuum sucking London dry! Why didn't they put up a pup tent for a Year Celebration deal.

Where do I look for that screendownloader is it located here at SIMV

Mav. The Upload Images page is where you go to upload your images before posting them. The link to the IrfanView home site is on this page. http://www.simviation.com/yabbupload.html

PS. I think this is the Screenshooter utility that Kevin mentioned. http://w1.361.telia.com/~u36114907/Web/en/Screenshooter.htm
It's a very small standalone multi screengrab utillity that seems to work well enough. I can find no resize option.

PPS. I found that Screenshooter messes up the standard Windows Copy/Cut & Paste functions when running. I'll stick with MultiGrab. http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/index.htm

Yeah, we brits (me and my family and friends) think the millenium dome was a big folly. For millenium celebrations it cost way too much to do any good and wasn't popular. It had exhibitions of the furture in it I think (such as how eye scans could be the keys to our homes, etc.) and now its serves no purpose, oh well. (my brother arrived the other day, messed around with some jets and after coming out of the computer room told me he'd flown some sweet jets in london and in the end tried to crash into the millenium dome but missed (dunno how), lol, that gives you an idea of dislike)

thanks Hagar, I think I used that before and it did give me problems. I will try your multigrab suggestion instead.

Not sure architecture is the correct description. I always thought of it as an oversized (& vastly overpriced) circus tent - & about as useful. Fine if you happen to want a circus tent. Not much call for them these days. ::)

PS. The term "bottomless pit" springs to mind.
