Concorde and me...

Postby ozzy72 » Sun Dec 14, 2003 7:10 am

Well it is surely time to restart stunt school. So the Project Mach 2 Concorde had to get the Ozzy treatment... poor thing ;D So off to the home of the 49ers we went (making sure Fozzer was safely having lunch before attempting this)

Over we go (this does the engine and airframe no favours!)

Coming off the dive, and not centered. Those rocks get really big really quick :o

Under again :)

And a nice clean recovery. The passengers may now finish taking their valium ;D

The CO will send Ozzy back to flightschool - just to learn why a concorde isn't quite a fighterjet!  ;D

No Ken I'd turn most settings as low as possible to get the maximum response from my machine, as I really was on the 'knife-edge' there and needed every last grain of computer power to keep her from creaming in 8)

Regretably I've been punished by being sent to this planet to teach you earthlings how to fly like all the great space aces e.g. Dan Dare, Flash Gordon, Duck Dodgers in The 24th and a 1/2 century.

Sometimes I have this horrible nightmare - I'm a passenger enjoying the lap of luxury on Concorde and I get invited up to the flight deck to meet the Captain.

The stewardess ushers me in, the Captain turns round to greet me and....it's...it's....

OMG - another Valium please nurse :o

ozzy,

i would love to know how fast you were going to overspeed that concord.      and wasn't duck dodgers from the 24th and 1/2 sthentury?  and didn't he always crash his space ships?

Aaaaaaargh! Pass me the bicycle clips, somebody!

In excess of M2.1-ish to overspeed that baby, at FL600. Imagine it's a lot less at SEA LEVEL!!! 'Scuse me, I have to sit down...

Nice one, Ozzy. Now try it upside down under two bridges at once - the two Severn bridges linking England to Wales. (Or Wales to England, depending on where you come from.)

They're not in the default sims, but you can get the scenery from Nonodes (eventually).

;D
