PS. To keep you amused in the meantime, does the front fuselage of the Fw 190 remind you of anything & if so, what?

OK, that was too easy as Fido's shot shows. Sir Sidney Camm himself credited Kurt Tank for giving him the idea.

Posted: Tue Dec 02, 2003 5:53 pmMaybe Fido. Other aircraft used the principle but Kurt Tank was the first to use it successfully on a fighter. I'm only going by what I read in Sidney Camm's biography. He first used the idea himself on the Tempest II.
