One of my new favorate oldies...

The Junkers W-33, Russian Dobrolet and Aeroflot designation PS-4 (Pochtovii Samolet 4) was an all-metal cantilever low-wing single-engined aircraft. Powered by 1 Junkers L-5 in-line water-cooled six-cylinder engine, this aircraft was capable to reach top speed 185 kph and fly 1000 km with cruise speed 150 kph. W-33 has a ceiling 4700 meters and posses a flight duration up to 5 hours. ;D

Not for the fainthearted, this open cockpit.
The way it is built reminds me of the Ju-52, but single-engined and equipped w. floats.

Not surprised it looks like a Ju-52, it was build by the same company, about 5 or six years before the 52...I think.

That's pretty nice.  Did they carry passengers?  I noticed the door on the side.  It would suck to fly in that thing with no windows!  8)

there were very few ju33's built, and one was even crated and shipped to canada,  one with floats of coarse ;)

Hmm, odd plane, don't see how it can fly with that box-like fuselage, good shots though ;)
