Well my little adventure at Hawwaii's Hilo Airport has come to an end. I did manage to shoot a few photos of this beauty landing just before dark last night.
It was Hawaain Air's Boeing 777!

Here she is turnig to intercept the localizer.

Floating gracefully down the glidescope, her gear is extended.

Flaps are extended and all is looking good as the sun dips behind the mountains.

The big jet slowly sinks to earth.

The triple seven thunders over me as I await her arrival.

A puff of smoke from the huge wheel assemblies confirms a perfect landing.

About to shut it's engines down after a long trip home.

Very nice! Why is it dusk shots always look so real while daytime shots don't? ???

very nice man! i wish i could land the 777 like that. i have no problems with jumbo's or MD-11's, but don't ask me to land a 777...that never works with me ;)

Thanks Kevin, I don't know. maybe it is hiding all the imperfections of our graphic cards! ;) LOL!
