I jumped in my Jug, and took her up slow and easy so as not to lose air speed.

Taking off from NYC.

Crossing 30,000.

Passing 45,000!

I thought I was going to stall so I pulled up trying to get a few more feet out of her, but wound up getting more.

Thats just from resizing the pics.

48661 feet, that is very high for a P-47.

Not really. The ceiling of the P-47 is about 40,000ft. and we all know an aircraft's limits can bent.
