I just wanted to say thank you again for your wonderful packages. I have just installed the East Coast NAS pkg. and it works great. Added all the additional aircraft as well. I am really enjoying it and here is a screenshot to show my appreciation!
Eric
Just over NAS Key West at dawn! Hope you all enjoy!

Choper, in the readme in my file there is also a zip for 4 different skins that go with it.
EricK, thank you again for the praise. It really makes it all worth it just seeing posts using this stuff.
I've started on Dyess, Whiteman and just finishing up on Mountain Home. Need to give the B-2 a place to fly to.
I'll be working with PAI on their military AI program we are trying to get off the ground but everything I make I still will release as my own. They will just be allowed to package it up over there as well :)

Dave, if you are going to use the bombers as AI, like the B-2, don't forget Diego Garcia please...it's a nice base with an amazing large ramp!
that AI tomcat in the shot above is a really nice model...but very tricky to land! ;)

I was wondering how you got a tomcat to function in fs2004. You are using it as an AI aircraft! I tried downloading the RFTomcat file and it was totally not compatible with FS9. I could have flown it but I was flying a swept wing plane with no visual landing gear, so I had to delete it.
I guess we all have to wait until someone makes a compatible F14 for Fs9. One question though, how do you get those afterburner effects. I keep getting a cheapo looking yellow circle to show afterburn in my fighter planes. :-/

there is a tomcat,which works in FS 2004,it's avaiable on avsim.com .

Are you refering to the GMAX F-14B Tomcat for Fs2002 or the F14D that has no weapons on the body also for FS2002.
Those were the only 2 tomcats I saw in the Avsim Directory. I know Pete gets sick of us transacting with Avsim! But right now I am looking for an Tomcat that works fine in FS2004 without causing issues within the game!

Hi all,
Thanks for the replies. To the question about the Tomcat in the picture, it is available here at simviation and works perfectly fine in COF. I use it as AI, but also to fly myself.
Thanks again
Eric

Thank you so very much for pointing out this tomcat (Silent Exploder)
This is the Jolly Rogers FS2002 GMAX version F-14 Tomcat. I beleive this file can be found here at SimV too! This version works in FS2004!
I added the water effects file to my sim experience! That water makes me want to eject and take a dip! :o! Unfortunately while those afterburner effects look great they are not controlled by the planes throttle. They just light up when you turn on the lights on the plane! But I like flying the F14 so I don't care!
Can't wait to see what an authentic Fs2004 remodeled Tomcat will look like though! bring on those shiny textures! ;D

erm, that's not the model i was referring to. i've got the F-14D (the one without weapons) and it works just great. virtual cockpit (basic),panel , a nice model and textures.
but i don't fly that F-14 anymore. yamamoto's mitsubishi F-1 is much better (pics coming soon!).

Oh :( I was wondering. I don't like the unarmed version of the tomcat ( it doesn't look as detailed as this one). The F14D without the weapons doesn't look all that great to me and neither does this GMax F14B Tomcat. But I just wanted a flyable f14 to play with in Fs2004.
I really liked the RFTomcat package, but it is not compatible with FS9. The wings don't have flaps on them and the rear end of the plane doesn't have much detail. But I liked the speed control and I liked the texuters (especially the Jolly Rogers - Ghostrider).
Alas, I guess I have to wait for a new version for FS9 to come out and only SimV and God knows when that will be. But I am content with the Gmax F14B! I just like the F14 it is my favorite jet!
