i remember the glorious days with flight unlimited 1 ,where the decathlon was my favourite plane. i just loved it to take her up for a ride in the clear ,blue sky.

anyways,i downloaded her,too and i think it's one of the best aerobatics planes ever made for FS. but she seems to be a frame-rate eater, doesn't she?

Hello all. Since we don't have a website yet I personally have been making my away around most of the forums to give help and info.

So first off I am glad you enjoy our aircraft. It was a joy to create!!

The framerates I have heard mixed results. All but one of our beta testers raved of it being great on the framerate. I as the creator have spent alot of time reducing as many polys as possible without sacrificing visual quality. It is a detailed model has a fairly high poly count at around 35k on just the external model.

Also we released the plane to simviation today which includes the compass fix so it should be up here shortly. Sofar the response has been overwhelming and far exceeds our initial expectations. Keep an eye out for the Citabria scout in the next week or so! :)

Again we would like to thank everyone for the great response. We will continue to create freeware planes as long as we can!!

Thanks again

i had a complete reinstall of windows and still got to optimize it,so my judge on the framerates is just temporarily.

i'll look at it again, when my PC is running how it should.

WOWZERS

Great shots, great scenery... Links for the both?

The Decathelon was the first recreational plane I ever went up in... I taxied a couple when I was younger... But flying was so different. Heh. I remember when we tookoff... OK There was a dip in the runway, so where my dad was standing with the camera, he didn't see me. Then, all of a sudden, [glb]SHOOM!!![/glb] I went up like a bat outta hell. You should see the video. Quite funny...  ;)

The scenery is Georender 6 from www.lagoonline.com.
Comes with Skyharbor and Strom.  Great airstrips.

Side note: I put the screens here to show off the Freeware Decathalon. ;D

Check ur own site here at simviation :). It's under the filename of 8kcab01.zip in the props section. Which also includes the compass fix. I should have named it 02 but oh well still learning :)
