Trans-Canada Adventure Leg 1

Postby Cherokee_6 » Mon Aug 11, 2003 3:28 pm

Today I started my Trans-Canada Adventure! I plan to cover each corner of the country. Each leg will be aprox one to two hours flight times (or as time permits).

I will try to post a new leg at least once a week. Feel free to comment on what you think or places you think I should see.

Thanks!

This first leg of the trip was from Calgary, Alberta (hometown) to Medicine Hat, Alberta. Nothing really exciting but the landing reminded me that I have not flown in a while!  ;D

See ya later! Don't expect to be back home for a while...

This is pretty much all I saw on this leg...after all this IS the prairies!

On final at runway 21...

As I was about to touch down a gust of wind came up.(ya...that's it...a gust of wind) Needless to say I had a hard tail strike which is going to cost me some repairs a fixup paint job... ;D

Happy to be parked and secured and heading to find the local body shop repairman...

Don't forget to stop off at Burlington Airpark in lovely Burlington Ontario. Just five minutes from where I live.  8)
