Hi there,
Here are some shots of a new download available here at Simviation. It is a fictional repaint representing a D-Day squadron MKV11.
I hope you enjoy and comments are welcome.
Eric

Waiting for take-off clearance at Brize-Norton AB in the UK.
Image

The weather is very overcast as we bank and climb out at full throttle.
Image

Here is the view from inside as we begin to break through the soup.
Image

Finally at altitude, the weather is clear as we take up a heading for downtown London.
Image

As we begin descent into London proper, you can begin to make out some of the landmarks in the distance.
Image

Another shot from the cockpit as we bank over the city enroute to London City airport.
Image

With full flaps we come into a slight crosswind and a little hop before touchdown.
Image

As I shut down the engine and open the canopy, there is a large crackle of thunder. As you can see, we landed just in the nick of time!

Wonderful shots.   :)

???Now I know that is for COF, but will it work in FS2k2?

I am certain that it should work in fs2002.

I did encounter a couple of problems though. No gauges in the VC, a few texture models with the download but no textures (only the one in the images above) and a slightly dodgy air file. I may have done the install incorrectly but who knows. Overall though, a terrific download.

Thank for the replies
Eric

Great shots, makes me a little home sick for that rainy, overcast London weather......

It's great coming into land at London City Airport. Short runway and close to quite a few buildings. I have had the chance to do that landing for real, well as a passenger.

Nice one. Same outstanding quality as the Dewotine D520, by the same author perhaps.
Be careful, Ozzy may become very excited when he sees this.

Beautiful MkVII, did anyone other than myself notice the interesting ::) t/n (BA0069), never mind, probably just need to get my mind out of gutter.  Can't wait for Ozzy to get a peek.

I downloaded this last night but don't have it installed yet so I'm glad someone posted some shots. I'm a bit put off by the fact that it's a fictional repaint when there are a few different historically accurate colour shemes for the MkVII that could have been done, but it still looks nice and I may still give it a go.

Just as a footnote - I downloaded this Spitfire a few day ago from here, but I noticed there has just been a whole whack of new ones posted over at avsim.com. If anyone is a warbird fanatic like myself, I'd say its worth a look. There is also a sweet Curtiss Warhawk available. I did notice the contact points for the main gear on the Warhawk are a little off and I still can't get the gauges to appear in the VC in any of the packages, but still very good. Here are a couple more examples.
See ya

That LF MkXVIc is one of the best Spits I've ever added to CFS2 and FS2K2.

Very nice. Those exquisite Spitfires are all the work of "the Master" Paul Rebuffat. I assume they're his original CFS2 models (or repaints) with the CFG tweaked by a 3rd party for FS2004. This would not be difficult & it might be much easier to do yourself with the original files. I see no reason why the DVC would not function if the downloads include the necessary gauges.

I've seen the P-40 before but don't remember the original designer. Like the Spifires it was originally intended for CFS2 or FS2002.

Those are indeed Paul Rebuffat's superb Spitfires. What a shame his site has gone, he made the best FS Spitfires EVER.
That P-40 I'm sure is on of Krzysztof Malinowski's.
