Saab, Volvo, Ikea, and the Valmet L-70 Vinka! I found this little gem by accident and decided to give it a go. The Valmet is the basic trainer for the Swedish airforce.
It was made by Mikko Maliniemi and Kari Virtanen (who has made a load of great Saab fighters for us).
All I can say is anyone complaining about the lack of great freeware should look at this model!!!

Incredible VC, great detail and everything works :o

A quick look in from outside

Gorgeous spin characteristics, if you want to learn to spin properly, this is the plane to do it on
Image
Safely on the ground and a quick look at some more detail, including the pilots badges!

All I can say is this plane is fabulous! The detail and handling incredible, and yes its slow but a lot of fun. There are two models, and each come with one or two pilot options!
Fabulous.

Cool Mark, makes me want to jump in and strap up right next to you. Look, we can use that 3rd seat to hold our cooler in place!!

Err Ken, I've only just started my first beer of the evening, the hardest thing I'd had to drink when I took these shots was a chocolate milkshake :o
Err Dave, agreed on the 3rd seat there mate ;) I've got the beer cooler if you've got the get out of jail free cards ;D

'nother good one Mark ! !....got it earlier and even went and played a bit to see who might get caught flying that trainer (posted in payware)?......its a bit slow, but handles not too bad for beginners.........Dave, you might not like the 23 meg download if you are still on dial-up, but I do recommend it.....its a fun plane........... ;)

Fun, its one of the best since either the Rafale or the Gazelle in the freeware has everything stakes. I've been pootling about all evening doing aerobatics, and I love it. Did some great low-level through the pine forests stuff too. Its a joy.

I have been looking where to get this...and I have only found the one for FS2000.

Is that the one you downloaded?

Dave, you might not like the 23 meg download

The one I found is only 478K? ?

Thanks....

Cherokee, the model isn't here yet. I'm just awaiting Mikko Maliniemi's permission to upload it, I've already got a green light from Kari Virtanen (who advised me to contact Mikko), so just hang on a day or two. Its worth the wait, trust me ;D
