lol ya, i was told the same thing when i got back to my aerodrome

Look at the pilot looking at the aircraft while it goes down............crying its loss........next thing you know the plane comes back and shoots you! OK maybe not, but i felt like saying that.

The smoke is weird though, is the picture bad quality? it looks like.......it just looks weird. Good shot though.

not really, i was getting nice graphix actually, the pic is cropped and enlarged (when u bail out and the wide screen appears...)

indeed, lufberry (eddie rckenbacker's squad mate) got shot down, his plane caught fire in a horrible manner, and he jumped instead of dying burnd alive, he tried to jump on a little creek he was flying over, he miscalculated and landed on a frenc backyard, among the flowrs and crops, only yards from the creek.......

Yup, in WWI parachutes wern't normal equipment for pilots, only for those who flew in the observation ballons.  I'll bet that Lufberry was one of many who were forced to make that very dame decision.
