Some FS2004 (Gold) shots...

Hi Guys,

I've had (legit, legal) copy of FS2004 for a while now, and just thought I'd share with you some of my favourite shots so far, and show you some of the new features in FS2004. No editing on these shots, exept for re-sizing. This is how FS2004 looks with all settings maxed right out, 4x Anti-Alising, and 8x Ansiotropic Filtering applied at the card level.

Image

The new default Lear 45 model is a massive improvement over the previous version, the folding steps even make a solid "thunk!" as you close them! The flight dynamics have also been much improved. The model show here in the aniversary livery, although you can also have the usual gold/white affair.

Image

The new Lear 45 DVC. All aircraft now have a full DVC, with clickable gauges. Another impovement is in the guages themselves, for example, the gauges in the 747 are now fluid and easy to read, unlike the FS2002 version.

Image

The default DC-3 is available in 4 liveries, and all look great. The aircraft flies as you would expect, big, slow and heavy.

Image

Sometimes, the combination of FS2004's improved weather and textures can create some images that are verging on the photo-real.

Image

An example of the new weather in FS9, to the right of the picture, you can see the squall line where the shower starts, and in-game, you can see it moving closer! The real world weather in FS2004 is updated every 15 minutes.

Image

There are lots of hidden "easter eggs" hidden in FS9, and the shuttle is one of them. Also here, the new Robinson 22 Beta II helicopter here, and very nice it is too. All the choppers seem to be a little easier to handle in FS2004, especially the Robinson.

Image

The new Mooney is much improved. Now we get a brand new model, with a full DVC at last. The buggy flight dynamics of the FS2002 version are also new.

Image

The mountain scenery is great in FS2004, the 3D clouds just seem to "hang" better from them. Also here you can see the MJ744 works fine in FS2004. In fact, I'm yet to find a FS2002 model that won't.

I hope you enjoyed the shots, if there are any questions, fire away!  ;D  ;D

Here is the water shot you wanted.

I'm not certain, but I think the sea conditions are the same right through, ie, there are no 30m monster waves in the Atlantic.

Also, to clear up the confusion, this gold copy was given to me by Pete as a thankyou for some things I did for him.

Stunning, absolutely stunning.

Wouldn't mind some daytime pics of Toronto Pearson Airport (CYYZ) and the surrounding area. All the ones I've seen are poor quality night ones. Also can I see the west tip of lake Ontario? I want to see if they fixed the greatly oversized land bridge (from FS2002) from Burlington to Hamilton.

Canaveral ?....is that default ?.....that one catches my eye.......especially since its a low light situation and is still full of detail in the gantrys.............
