Alaskan Vacation

Postby Fly2e » Wed Jul 23, 2003 8:05 pm

First of all I want to say "Thank You" to Rifleman for contacting me and graciously putting "me" in the pilots seat. He grabbed a picture of me from the "A Challenge to You All" thread and worked his magic. He has made this little journey of mine all the more fun!!
Thank You Ken, I'll buy 1st round when I get to Vancouver Island on my way home!!!

Well, when we last left off, I was making my way down to the runway. I contacted the tower and they gave me clearance for take off.

As I looked down the runway, my mind was racing with excitement! I moved the throttle foward and we started our journey to the great unknown.

As We reached take off speed, I gently pulled back on the stick and her wheels left the ground.

Finally....I was up and off to my 1st destination, Crooked Lake,.... all the while I stayed focused on my instruments. I could see the guys from The Air Rescue Squad cheering me on!

We climbed at a 15 degree angle still at full throttle. All looked good as we left Ketchican.

Up, Up and away,..The Robin and I were off to The Bush!!!
