This lovely B377 Stratocruiser was uploaded to Avsim yesterday. Its an all Gmax model and includes its own panel and virtual cockpit. The designers claim that this model's flight perameters are accurate with a small margin of error of 3%. It comes in both a PanAm livery and a Transocean livery.

Some views of the plane itself in Transocean livery.

The virtual cockpit is well done.

Pros:
-Realistic flight
-Looks great
-Virtual cockpit adds to the experiance
-Propliner engine start effect was a nice touch

Cons:
-Panel missing some important guages (ie Altimeter)
-Engine sounds are only of moderate quality
-Animated doors and cargo ramps would have added to the experiance but this is only of very small concern

Overall Rating: Four out of Five. Great download.

Available at Avsim. File name: "gmaxstrat.zip", class: Freeware, size: 16475kb

I vaguely remember seeing one of these in the skin back in 1958 at Heathrow, as I was taxiing to depart for Montreal.... a 10 1/2 hr jaunt in a Bristol Britannia flying the BOAC colours........
Thanks for the memories you spurred.........nice shots.......
