MD-80 mishap

Postby ReverseThrust » Mon Jun 16, 2003 5:36 pm

I was flying out of Anchorage today-in a very high quality MD-80- and was pushing back at the gate but decided to go to the active runway so I wouldn't waste time taxiing.  The plane kept pushing back and I ended up with this-

I straightened out and took off from Anchorage INTL:

Then I came to this big black spot in the ocean as I was climbing.  [glb]Anyone have a clue what that big black thing is?[/glb]  UFO... Island... Barge... something blacked out by USCIA... ???

that is a bit odd and I can also see it. It acts like water when you land on it.
