YF-23 Test Drive

Postby fisharno » Fri Jun 06, 2003 7:47 pm

Here's some shots to the YF-23, available in the Military Downloads section. I think it needs a little more snap in the manuverability department, but the looks are absolutely great!

very nice, do you use that Galaxy (or Antonov what is it) for AI?

Yes. It's a C-5. That's by far my favorite aircraft. It's the newest GMAX version with 3 textures. In the photo, I just landed the YF-23 at Travis AFB, (KSUU), where I inserted several C-5's as AI traffic. I think the one shown, is on it's way to Edwards AFB, (KEDW).

Thanks for the kudos, guys.  ;D

It had to fit into the size of a F-15, so thet limits the heigth of the tails.
And the guys at nothrop know their stuff about stealth tech, which makes it into the flat tails.
Personally i think that the YF-23 should have been the definitive aircraft instead of the F-22. it has a smaller side profile, which will make it a more difficult target in dogfights.
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

It had a longer range was faster and more menuaverable than the f-22 but slightly more expensive.

I haven't researched the 23, but, aren't they integrated into the wing? "Elevones"? (Elevators + Alerons)
