US Airways 757 going to Myrtle Beach

Well, I was flying into Myrtle Beach from Orlando in a US Airways 757-200 when my #2 eng. went out. 1st pic.



I couldn't keep speed up and was over the ocean and knew I had no choice but to ditch it.  The cabin was prepared for the impact.



So I started the evacuation (can't see any slides though)



And luckly everyone got out safely and the coast guard brought us to shore.

normally...a descent pilot...can keep his plane in the air with only one engine...practice that!  ;)

Yup, I had some heavy people on board and the peanuts just pushed them over the edge!  Really I don't know what the deal was.  I lost the engine, it was doing fine, but then after I turned the 1 1/2 mile final, I just lost all lift and went down. Nothing I could do to recover it. Sorry.
