That 'Blade' one looks like the ultralight which was used to fly around the world... only without the extra fuel tanks on the maingear struts

As there is no rudder, it is not possible to yaw, so close

lol,i never use the rudder ,even in a 747...;D

Hi ATI...!
How do you manage with a very strong cross-wind at 90 or 270 degrees to the runway..?
...the good old rudder comes in very handy then... ;D...!
Illustrates the problem with flexwings then...no rudder, so can't yaw or crab in... :'(...!
LOL...!

I would like to interject a little something here..........when I fly my models on approach in a cross wind, the use of rudder is left until its absolutely necessary to input with that control.............you can use ailerons lightly all the way to the threshold since you are very close to the centreline of the runway anyway.

some nice shots there Mr fozzer:)
as for the rudder, i use auto rudder personally because i dont have a rudder equiped joystick or pedals and there are enough keys to press during landing that adding two more in continus corrections would make it darn near impossible:) when flying helos though i reasign two of my joystick buttons to rudder to make it easier, but those buttons are needed for the planes for gear and flaps so they cant be used there

Hi Space.... ;D...!
I'm a big fan of Microlights and Flexwings. They are cheap and cheerful.... ;D...!
...None of your Boeing 747's, 777's, etc for me... ;)...!
(Talking about cheap, at our fly-in today there was a flexwing for sale,

I actually have the king schools PPL CD-Rom set - and boy your not kidding about the "very excited" part. LOL.
Good stuff tho.

BTW - I went to flightsim to download the Byron flexwing and its having a problem unzipping - anyone else experienced that? Anything to try to resolve it?

TIA.
Sean.

Hello Sean... ;D...!

..just for you, I downloaded the BYRON flexwing file again and un-zipped it...... ;)....!
It came up with a report "at least one of the files un-zipped failed its integrity check (CRC)". but after I unzipped it, all the files seemed to be present, the folder was complete, and it all works OK...!
Try downloading it again.
Under "Search" select FS 2002 Aircraft and type "flexwing", it should lead you straight to it... ;D...!
(For downloads I use and old version of Go!Zilla, which also contains a lovely, simple, program called "ZipZilla", ideal for easily un-zipping/installing programs).

Re: John and Martha...
I've got some of their flying instruction videos, excellent to watch if you've had a bad day... ;)...!
Their enthusiasm knows no bounds...they have me in stitches.... ;D... ;D... ;D...!

Cheers Sean.... ;D...!
