Arrestor Cables?? Who Needs Em'?!?!?!

Postby Cherokee_6 » Fri May 02, 2003 9:30 am

This may not be that facinating to most but I had fun with this... ;D

It took me a couple attempts but I was able to land my Baron on the deck of an aircraft carrier just outside of San Fransico...

Lining up...

touch down and full brakes...
Image

Had to turn a little to the right to make sure I didn't go off  the end...
Image

Once I was stopped I thought I would give it a go to take off...
Image

After getting the engines to full power, I let her go and was surprised to find out how fast she sped up!
Image

After I cleared the deck, she sunk a little bit but then was able to start climbing...
Image

After that challenge I was spent... ;D

OH yeh, one more thing..............the Tiger Moth isn't easy........I think it was the hardest thing I have done when flying in Flt Sim 2002..........everything else has been relatively easy after a few tries........this one took many, many tries to get in, and when I did, I stayed for afternoon mess in the galley. 8)

Also, maybe the Lincoln is longer than the Constellation, but I would have to look into it to verify that......

I managed to get the BIG Antonov down, but the machine classed it as a crash as the island had been severed in two by the wing! Bugger
