First bomb run not very succesfull as someone strafed me on take off and forced me to crash land in a field.


Second try was good and all 30 of my bombs were dropped.


But I'm afraid 3 guys on the other team saw it and werent about to let me get home.


My last kill although he almost had me.

Forgotten battles is a completely new game and costs

these shots completely convinced me. i'll install IL-2 again...

I've never been sure about IL2, but I must say this Forgotten Battles version looks awsome. I may just have to give it a go.

Hawker I'm damn sorry about your spit repaint but it had DXT'ed textures or something and me being a bit of an ametuer didn't know what to do with them

DXT format is the way FS2002/CFS3 reads them.  They allow refelctive textures when in DXT3 format and opaque textures when the background is pure green and the file is saved in DXT1 format.

Great shots.  Might buy Forgotten Battles when I'm not so short of cash.  There's a Top Gun competion at my ATC Squadron right now.  CFS2 style.  I'm gonna practice online tonight so I've got a decent chance odf getting through the forst round.
