The Soviet Union has gone out of business and their loss is my gain! Check out what I picked up at a Military Surplus auction and brought home to Chicago:

That is a Mig-31 Firefox (fictional, from the book by Craig Thomas, and made into a movie of the same name starring Clint Eastwood).
You can download it here at SimV, its great fun to fly as it is hypersonic, and whilst getting it off the ground takes a fair bit of runway, once in the air its beautiful. Landing is damn hard though!

Ozzy's right, she is hard to land, as her stall speed is about 200 knots. I ussually use the autopilot to slow her down to that as I make my approach, and once I'm on final, switch it off, go to the virtual cockpit which gives me a better view, and ease her down to the runway while gently throttling her down. Once I'm down I kick in the reversers and spoilers to slow her to a point where I can apply the brakes without snapping off the nose gear and setting her on her nose (Trust me, I've done that a lot!)
