On the 20th May 1927 at 11:52 Charles Lindburgh after a sleepless night, sets off on an attempt to become the first pilot to fly accross the Atlantic ocean non-stop.....

11:52 GMT, approx. Just clearing the telegraph poles at Roosevelt field, Long island.

22:00 GMT, approx. 300ft/92mph leaving Newfoundland for the open expanse of the Atlantic.

Somewhere over the Atlantic, making a correction in navigation.

Somewhere over the Atlantic, flying into bad weather.

15:00 GMT, approx. 500ft/95mph approaching the coast of Ireland.

Andrew, do you believe that I would take these pics without flying the entire journey? Shame on you I am deeply hurt  ;) I relish the idea of staring at my monitor for 30+ hours due to the fact there was no AutoPilot installed back in the Golden Years when Lindburgh made his flight, no consideration for us simmers huh, lol ;D
