Hi BiggBaddWolf,
130 - 140kts in level flight I assume, any aircraft will overspeed in a dive given sufficient opportunity. You get the overspeed warning if Vne (velocity never exceed) is breached. On approach in a shallow descent, it's easy to go thru Vne if the power setting is too high.
I'm confused................ again :P JPW, where did you get that photo of me?
........ and Skligmund, keep the facts coming, this one was of particular interest! ......
"If that drive fails (or the gear) both magnetos will be rendered useless, and the engine will stop. Not exactly good, cause then the pilot would overheat, since the propeller is the big fan that keeps the pilot cool. If it stops, he gets all sweaty."

Very interesting about the trim tab on the B707.
A friend's yacht is driven in the same way by an autopilot that actuates the trim tab using push button control. It's actually amazing how powerful the trim-tab system is. The difference in the yacht is that the trim tab completely overpowers the the manual steering mechanism, as the rudder is not free floating
