i love how a flight sim 747 painted in air force one colors with a few Mods, causes a political debate.(and side note, remember america and most of the western world is supposed to be known for its freedom of speech, or has that now only become applicable when it goes with what you agree with?)

Lots of anti-Americanism comes from Hollywood.  People seem to get their notions of America from the idiotic, uneducated, fools(for the most part) in Hollywood that seem to represent America!  If I didn't know the truth that Americans were hard working, honest, fun-loving people, I would fall into the Hollywood trap also! 8)

It is the places like these where I can find out what other nations are really like.

just because i say something against america, it doesn't mean that i say something against its citizens. it's mostly against the guys who are ruling it. and if you look at the behaviour of the US government towards other nations before the war on iraq, you'll get one of the main reasons why i've got that attitude.

And no offense( ;) ;D), if you look at the behavior of other governments toward the US government before the Iraq war, you will understand why the US government did what they did! 8)

Actually I am not that sensitive and I know that others do not like Americans, and could care less.

Just don't tell me that you are not anti-American, take cheap shots like the above every chance you get and then put up phony excuses like:

just because i say something against america, it doesn't mean that i say something against its citizens. it's mostly against the guys who are ruling it. and if you look at the behaviour of the US government towards other nations before the war on iraq, you'll get one of the main reasons why i've got that attitude.

and then expect respect from me. I have some very good friends who hate America and some who hate my political views. So what. To each his own. They aren't bashful to tell me that either that is why I respect them. But I have absolutely no respect for anyone that hates and takes cheap shots and then has the gall to deny it all. Below my contemp.

No cojones to back up their convictions.

Why are the citizens of what we are assured is the most powerful nation on earth the most sensitive to any critisism or humour at their expense?

Smoke - Because he isn't joking that is why. He continually does this and then hides behind his smilies and says it is in good fun. Him and 2 others whom I will leave nameless at this point.

Come on Silent - admit it in public - you hate Americans - and then leave all politics out of your sarcastic remarks - then I will respect you. We do not have to agree on one single thing to get along, not one, but we do have to know where each other stands to have mutual respect.

Ahem . . .

SUBJECT HAS GONE ALL TO HELL. STOP

REQUIRE NEW SUBJECT. STOP

PLEASE TELL THEM TO. STOP

You guys (Oso) are making a big deal about nothing, and using SimV as your jousting arena (Oso).  I personally think you are all (Oso) full of it, and if you take anything said around here that seriously, I'm glad you aren't coming around anymore.  Hopefully, those who don't like the political comments around here (Oso) will have the common sense to stay away from here from now on.

Oh, yeah:

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

and

;) :D ;) :D ;) :D ;)

I second the motion.

SimV is not the place for political jousting.

OK explination for those who didnt get the original.
The 747 has LED lights, much like the lights you see some of these cars have that kids drive around in today. all decked out with custom rims lights speaks and so on, i think thats what he was trying to get at with airforce one and bushes daughter wanting to do that with their personal transport.
As for hating America, nope, you all know my desire to live there, and i know all to well the government doesnt always represent the people, get to know the people there you'll realise they arnt all obnoxious loud humans. And the country itself is beautiful. Dont bash a place till you have been there. And to those who are wondering i will gladly be upfront with anyone about my feelings towards them, i try to keep out of arguments like this here as its asked that people avoid it. But i am upfront with everyone and its prob what annoys people the most:) too many problems are caused when you mix words, as in the case of this whole topic
