Agreed, the Tomcat really needs a longer burner effect.
Now that I think about it... what do you think about the effect that can be found on the CORAL F-15 ? (The one that change color with the altitude, you can see it in the preview screenshot here at SimV)

Also, wasn't there a SR-71 with a big burner effect somewhere ?

Hmmm, that coral F-15 burner is a good idea. I know I have it somewhere. Think tonight Im gonna play with burner effects and see what looks good. But I think the burner in Dino's previous Tomcat looked just fine... and there was an enhancement you could download for it that made it even better.

SR-71 burner would be great, but that may be toooooo long! haha.

Well keep us informed in case you find a nice burner for that bird.
Last time I tried the Coral F-15 in my FSX, the burners would not work, but I think this was due to incorrect gauges or aircraft.Cfg entries.

Hmmm, the burners are setup differently in this one than in the older version of the Tomcat. It is not tied into the lights section as it previously was.

I added the lines to the lights section in the .cfg, and tested it. the burner worked, but the base of the flame was way up where the intake is. I just gotta figure out the correct points for it now, and disable the F-18 burner in the process.

Also I noticed that the engine smoke was on the wrong axis. Instead of being horizontal and lined up with the engines, it is off to the side and vertical. Anyone know how to correct that?

This may not be the thread to ask this Q, but I have hopelessly screwed up my files trying to download various aircraft to 2004. There is a service that automatically (they say) installs addons called "Addon Pro" . Has anyone had an experience with this service?  P and cons?  Thanks.
