Love the clouds in the second shot!

I use to use Skyworld. My first shot that made the monthly contest finals had it. This shot would later win the "Rate It" contest:

Love to see more!

Probably went silent into the night as new contests emerged.

Are you using FSSkyworld? If so, I've been using that for some time now.

I seem to be mistaken as to what sky textures I was using in the shot I showed earlier. I know it wasn't FSSkyworld.

FS9 default with BA repaint. ;)

Ah that explains the 'thick wing syndrome' (some posky ones suffer from this ive noted also) I think wing thickness can make or break a 747 model!

Never really noticed the thick wing  issue till you pointed it out. ;) Gonna have to compare that with some others I got.

Yes aussiewannabe, that is fsskyworld, It's the reason I've gone back to FS9 here recently ;), at least until I get REX, and it's back to FSX! ;D

Yeah, the PMDG 747 is a good one to look at - its feasable to belive the 747 must have the most chunkiest wings direct from chunks-ville, but a look on airliners.net shows it just isnt the case. Maybe a little at the root due to the immense size of the wing root itself, but it tapers beautifully, especaily on the later -400.

Check out some wing view shots on youtube also, especaily on take off.

I think in part it makes the CLS 747 look far more real than even CLS normaly manage, although PMDG (in fs9 anyway) i dont think got the flex quite right. Looks kinda odd, but the wing modelling itself is perfection.

Of course i may be quite wrong and its far more chunky than i imagine!

I don't know, do you really think Microsoft would cut corners on an important detail like that? ;) ;D ;D

I was just making a little stab at M$ for the job they did on the wings. ;)
