I like the repaint, but I HATE the model. It's squished and short...

I like the colors on the repaint, however 2 things strike me as kinda strange: The font on the "Continental" title, and the colours of the tail.

However, the fuselage and the engines looks wonderful!

I agree on both counts. I don't think the tail of Continental has two shades of blue, just one.

Still, you did a great job considering. I wish I had time to learn how to do a repaint.

the colour is called light reflection frank to  look more realistic,and as for the font i wasn't sure what it was but there you go.if anybody knows what the font is it would not be a big job to change it

Nice repaint.  Is there one available for FSX?

at present i have only done it for fs9,not to sure if the aircraft works in fsx but you could try the aircraft before downloading the texture it is here at simV it is the vistaliner 737-500

Agreed on both aforementioned counts - I'd stick with the single blue in the tail (if you're going for realism, anyway. Personally, I actually like this one better than the actual livery).  

I'm not sure what font CAL uses, but what I do in a situation like that is just borrow it from a photo (on a new layer) then cut away the parts you don't want.  Can't get more authentic than that!
