If you go down to New York today...

Postby ozzy72 » Thu Apr 10, 2003 7:21 am

You're sure of a big surprise, that numbskull Ozzy launching things off buildings the hard way... :o

So first my beloved little MB-326 had to have a go, purely experimental. Oh and I'd saved the flight after landing a helicopter on the roof, and there is NO wind. Purely horses and talent... Yeah right!
Image
Now where is the undercarriage lever?
Image
Gosh the park looks lovely from here... where are my clean pants?
Image

Then it was time to try my Lago Tornado... So lots of revs and off we go.....
Image
Nose down, afterburners on, planet Earth becoming really big really fast
Image
Doing a quick victory roll to celebrate that I'm still alive!
Image

Now for the acid test... A Herc...
Image
Unfortunately this happened every time, I just can't build up enough speed!
Image
Oh and the big Antonovs can't clear the roof.... But I did get a 757 off the roof, but it met the same fate as the C130! And I didn't get any snaps as my computer hung :(

Ozzy

So Mark, you're saying that you never really landed there ?........just took off ?......
That makes a mess of the Log Book when T/O's and Landing's are not kept in equal numbers.........thats usually frowned upon........... ;)

the building will collapse with a AN225 on it...

by the way with a AN225 you use more than one building (cos it's that big duh  ::) ) and i think that wasn't allowed, right?

OOHHH NNOOO, Mark is in my neck of the woods!!! I live about 25 miles from New York City and I was wondering why the City was "Closed Down" yesterday!!

And I didn't get any snaps as my computer hung

You use "Grab Clip Save" don't you. Same thing happens to me!!

Cool shots Ozzy, oh and please don't fly East along the North Shore of Long Island, I don't have enough beer in my fridge to keep you "Fueled Up"!

Dave  ;)

No worries Dave. I've been working out with the Antonov, but so far I haven't found a suitable building for a launch without using wind! Don't worry I'll come up with something scary.
Oh and I've got beer here, so don't panic, your fuel is safe.

Mark ;D

I just realized that you are making vertical take-offs in all those planes, even if the vertical component is decent rather than ascent.............. ;D

Sure, a vertical take-off in a Herk........no wonder it never worked.........it ( the plane ) heard what the pilot was trying before the throttles were advanced........ ::)
