Which engines are we talking about?
The Trents or the Ge90's? (on the photo)
Cowling or fan diameter?
Anyways, it's not totally true, the fuselage of the 737 is  larger in diameter than the fan of the Ge90's.
Regarding the cowling, that's a little more interesting, but I believe the 737 fuselage is wider by just some inches in fact  ???

I did a bit of research....

Genenral Electric GE90-94 Max. Diameter(Not sure if cowling included) - 134 inches
Rolls Royce Trent 800Fan

Interesting! I have no idea what that picture is, I just found it by searching the A.net forums ;)

So I guess the engines in that photo are the GE90's 8)

That photo is from a book I have, looks like someone scanned it.  The book is called Boeing 777, by Guy Norris and MArk Wagner.  I've seen it in other books too....
