SoCal Dreamin'

Needed to take some passengers from the heat of the Palm Springs desert to the calm Pacific breezes of San Diego.  Here is our 25 minute Southwest 737 flight across the mountains...

Today's flightplan called for the Thermal Five Departure SID from runway 31L at Palm Springs Int'l...a climbing right turn and quick ascent to clear the mountains to the Southwest.  After leveling off at FL120, it was a smooth descent into the San Diego area via the Border Four Arrival STAR and Localizer approach to runway 27 at Lindbergh Field.

Here we are in a climbing right turn off runway 31L in Palm Springs to intercept the TRM VORTAC...

Beautiful clear day in San Diego with the Pacific Ocean in the background as we turn establich the localizer on runway 27 at Lindbergh...

Socal makes me think of nice bronzed, blonde beach-girls, not blue planes...  ;) ( Perhaps my perverted mind acts up)

Nice shots of the nicest passengerjet. Nothing beats the 737!
