Eye-popping fun in a Vans RV4...!

Postby Fozzer » Fri Apr 30, 2004 12:58 pm

FS 2002.
At Point Reyes, California, in a Vans RV4 on a nice sunny day.

Hi, aerobatic pilots...!
If you want to experience some serious, SERIOUS, fun, just strap yourself securely into the cockpit of Space Ace's Vans RV4, press the starter, tighten the straps on your 4-point harness, take a deep breath, push the throttle to the stop, and stand-by for an eye-popping, white-out performance from this amazing little aerobatic aeroplane..!
The view from the virtual cockpit over the most amazing propeller animation and accompanying engine sound has to be experienced to be believed...!
Trust me...!

Early morning, outside the FBO at my Point Reyes airstrip; coffee and egg and bacon breakfast under my belt...

Image

Off we go, up into the blue with a smoke trail, leaving the FBO behind...

Image

Throttle pushed to the stop, engine roaring, propeller a blur, and a steep climb...

Image

In full flight skimming the Pacific Ocean waves..

Image

After an hour of diving and weaving around with the sea-gulls, a steep turn, aiming back home...

Image

Landed at my boating lake at Point Reyes, with the light of my life coming to greet me with a big smile...

Image

I intended to include a pic of me flying upside-down, 3 feet off the ground, tail plane cutting a groove in the grass, down the length of the runway and in between the two palm trees at the FBO, but my egg and bacon breakfast deposited itself on the inside of my inverted canopy.
So I left that one out.
Sorry.

Cheers all... ;D...!
Have fun..

Paul.

Pop over here to try out the Vans RV4... ;)...!

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!
