Trip around the world, Leg I

Postby Stormtropper » Thu Apr 29, 2004 4:19 pm

Hey guys, I finally decided to fly around the world, well I'm starting at my local airport in Detroit, Michigan. Leg one-to New York's Kennedy Intl.  I'm using the default Lear 45, very nice aircraft, need better range though (The P-51 has got better range).

Well Waiting on the runway for clearence for take off.

Just took off, climbing to 30,000 feet.

Crusing on a very boring flight.

Apporaching New York, dropping to 6,000 feet.

Circleing Kennedy Intl. for clearence to land, beautiful senery.

Linged up with the runway, on final.

Rough landing, but got down ok.

Well hope you enjoyed, I still can't make them crisp clear, stay tunned for the next leg.

Nice pics! Can't wait for the next leg! Are you doing this trip entirely on the Learjet? Just wondering  ;D BTW the fifth shot is awesome!  8)

Thanks for the positive replies (I just got a better way of saying this, but can't think of it right now) once again.

Well I just landed in London, don't know how I did it, but I managed to carry enough fuel and use it wisely, (It pays to take Algebra ;D), but the trip was pain stakenly slow (18 hours of flight, I did it on 16x speed though), I'm sorting out the pics right now, probably post them tomorrow. I probably will do the whole thing in the Lear, unless one of you guys show me to a really sweet jet and I decide to trade my Lear in. ;D Thinking about switching it to the CRJ once I get to Moscow, but that would be a while.

Took some really great pics on my leg to London, I don't want to tell you guys much, but I will tell you this right now, JFK Intl. at night and Ireland are beautiful.!

Great shots. Wish I could fly the learjet with just a rough landing. I'm not sure the mods would have me posting pics of my lear jet once 'landed'! LOl ;D ;D ;D
