this classic 188 Bristol was used for high speed research and development in the 1950s..
silver slick and very fast a superb plane ;D

There's one in the RAF museum at Cosford. I worked on the original in 1959 b4 I joined up. There were only 2 or 3 made. They were used for research for metals used at high mach numbers and an engine test bed.
