Gone fishing...

Postby Jared » Sun Mar 07, 2004 4:48 pm

Working as a charter pilot my boss calls me at midnight and tells me that there is a group of fishermen who want a flight out to a secluded spot before 7am..:-(
Off to bed for me...

Up and and the airport (Hanks trading post...)

Wave goodbye to the ladies who gathered at the dock to cheer us on the way, start up engines, takeoff checklist complete...

rocking the floats out of the water on takeoff...

After about 45 minutes we have found the perfect spot for these fishermen...flaps down, wind check...
Image

one hour later the fishermen are unloaded and I'm on my way back to base to refuel the aircraft...

Home base in site...

Down and at the pumps, fill'er up mate I tell the ground crew as I head back to the lounge to get some much needed morning coffee...:-)

yeah it's ok... ::) I usually prefer a smaller aircraft for flights of this nature...Ie. the piper cub, or the Cessna 185...

The caravan is probably about the biggest plane that i like to fly for float service...not sure why... ???

Wow! What a difference a different computer monitor makes...

they always look good before upload, after upload and posting the pictures always looks very blurry on my home monitor....

But here at the school, they are looking crystal clear again...:-)
