Build a man a fire and he'll be warm for a night. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

I love the Devil!  My second favorate aircraft. ;D   Very nice shot too!  :)

I think the only reason the RAF rejected them was because they had no supercharger (only Lightnings made without them) and proformance was pretty bad.

It is french because the 3 colours on the tail go blue white red and RAF goes red white blue.

The RAF, I believe were going to take on the 667 P-38f's ordered by the French, 143 Mk Is (no superchargers, and props that rotated the same way), and the rest Mk IIs (supercharged, counter (not contra) rotating props)...

Two of these ender up in the UK, AF107 at Farnborough and AF105 at Eastleigh, and both were Mk Is.

Shame that the Mk II wasn't tested by the RAF

All Very Nice shots :).

Was the P38 the only fighter that you mounted from the rear and had a wheel rather than a stick?

I believe it's the default CFS2 P-38, and you can get it in the FS2002 vintage section right here.  Make sure to download the sound pack! :)

Possibly the P-61 Black Widow? I'm fairy sure the DH Mosquito had a wheel too (and both were night fighters rather than fighters...)
