A classic bird at dusk

Postby ATI_7500 » Sat Jan 24, 2004 7:19 am

That DC-7 is just a-w-e-s-o-m-e. The best airliner I've ever flown. Nevertheless it has it's strtange habits (concerning the performance over 10000 ft. with auto mixture).
I wanted to fly from Washington to LaGuardia, but FS refused to download the real world weather (damned internet connection), so it crashed.
Whatever...here are some dusk shots of that incredibly detailed bird.

Looking at the pleasing shape of the "Seven Seas" (Imho the best name for an airliner ever!!)

My favourite shot, because you can see many details, like the antenna below the belly, the cooling intakes of the awful 3400hp radial engines (radial engines - something for fozzer? ;)) , the lit-up virtual cockpit or the awesome clouds (stock).

Catching the last rays of sunlight...

...before disappearing into the dark. Bye, "Clipper Blackhawk"!

Hope you enjoyed...

VERY NICE SILENT!!!

It was a toss-up for me between shot two or shot four.

I really liked them both.

Thanks

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug :)
