Tempest-air to ground

Postby HawkerTempest5 » Tue Jan 20, 2004 12:25 pm

This has to be the best stock piston engine fighter in CFS3. Fast, powerful and it just looks good ;)
Image
The Hawker Tempest MkV. First of the Tempest line to enter RAF service.
Image
Fighter sweep. Looking for trouble behind enemy lines. Is it just me or do those drop tanks and pylons look like they belong to a P-47?
Image
Fast and low. Time to ditch my "P-47" tanks and shoot up some trains.
Image
All that damage with just 20mm cannon fire.
Image
A convoy. I just love strafing a nice juicy convoy ;D
Image
Practice run. How on Earth did I miss all those trucks ???
Image
A tad low this time me thinks ;) Notice how I was able to deposit my wingtip in the back of that truck ;D

Enough truck bashing, air to air in part 2.

Nice, very nice...

Did you shoot the train or drop the droptanks on it (and yes, they do look like the P47 type tanks)?

Roger, the trick to low flying is to come back home with all the bits still glued on ;) ;D ;D ;D

I shot the train and the shed and some other stuff but I will try drop tank bombing next time. Size of those things they will most likely nuke the whole train yard ;)

Mark old pal, I thought the trick was to fly down the column on a knife edge and take them all out with the wingtip ;) I had to make a very messy belly landing thanks to that truck :(

I know the feeling in the last pic there. I was once buzzing a level crossing in the 1% Corsair when I left my wingtip on the front of a passing train. ;D

I had to make a very messy belly landing :(

I should just add that most of my landings are like that ;)

Decapitation certainly saves valuable ammunition...
