Ya, he does use much smaller ones, on his visit to here (phoenix intl) there was something weird about our runways, so he took the small one. But on his second visit, he used the 747, strange...

The photograph  looks like a 737-700 (too long for a 600). The 800 and 900 series are both longer and have 2 emergency exits at the wings, (see the screenshots) while the 700 has just one.

Any plane with the president on it is called airforce one even if dubya hopped on a piper cub it still be airforce one.
