Close Formation - Combat Jets

Postby EricK » Tue Nov 11, 2003 2:08 am

Hi there,
I have been having a lot of fun lately with some recent military AI packages (afcad's, etc.) and just wanted to post some random shots. Thanks to Dave O'Brien for these wonderful add-ons. No slewing was used, just alot of practice! Most shot where taken around Nellis AFB and the surrounding area.
Hope you enjoy
Eric

Stunning pics - I wish I could fly like that! Love the shot of the two hornets, excellent!

Very well done! ;D

Uhmmmmm . . . what Hornets?  I see F-16s, F-15s and a Tornado (nice!) but no F-18s. ???

Thanks guys,

Geforce, no Hornets. It doesn't matter though, thanks for the great reply!

I had 2 more shots I wanted to add. I didn't want anyone to think I had forgotten about the oldies.

Remind anyone of the 'Black Sheep' squadron?

Whoah. You actuially have to fly in the formation? not an addon that sticks the additional aircraft to you?

Great shots!!!

EriK, those are some awesome shots. You really have the stick down packed.

I tried to fly the F-14B next to a C-5 last night and the Tomcat was all over the place.

Appreciate the comments, posts like these really make it worth it  ;)

More bases to come

Dur - I am an idiot, sorry :-[. I meant F-15s, I was in a rush this morning and made a mistake.

Sorry, but excellent shots.

Thanks for the comments,

Again, great packages Planespotter. I look forward to more bases. Thanks

JW, your right, the turns are the most difficult for sure!

One more thing. In 2 of the shots, you'll notice the airbrake is up on the F-15. Not sure why? Both shot where taken in roughly the same spot. Just after takeoff out of Nellis and banking to the left while climbing. Strange, but I think it looks kinda cool anyway!

Thanks again
Eric

i pause the game for taking screens. much better for adjusting view angles and distances. but wait with pressing the "print" key, until the "sim paused" message faded away (you've got to be quick!).
