Merlins Magic

Postby ozzy72 » Fri Jul 18, 2003 3:58 pm

Well a quick ferry mission one morning of a Seafire III turned out to be one of those perfect flights, the rest of the world is just waking up and getting with it whilst I'm burning through the air over fair England...
Just popped the canopy for a bit of fresh air (this is properly animated and you can watch it slide back in the VC!), but I'm not sure what town that is down there, my AA Road Atlas fell out in the last loop::)

Just cruisin' whilst everyone else is putting the kettle on

A nice barrel roll, boy I must clean the underside of those wings :(

Still can't see Neil Armstrong, not even from up here!

Safely down and its time for a cuppa

After a quick cuppa I thought I'd prove there is no prejudice, here are a couple of MkXIV shots with the dear old Griffon up front...

Nice one Ozzy. That must have been a rotten loop if stuff fell out of the cockpit.  :P

PS. Do you know what happened to Paul Rebuffat? A little bird whispered in my shell-like that Alpahasim snapped him up.  ::)

I've heard several rumours re-Paul lately. His site has been down for quite a while too...
It wouldn't surprise me if Alphasim has grabbed him, he is just sooooooo talented.
If I hear anything I'll let you know.

Mark

PS. I held the inverted part of the loop for longer than necessary (mine and Wimpy Wades natural orientation ;D)

The finest! Can there be a better looking aircraft? Love the shots Mark, you even added my favourite Mk XIV!
I hope Paul Rebuffat turns up again soon. He has so many other Spits to add to his already best Spits on the net.

You can find the Seafire L Mk IIIc at Flight Sim. There is a CFS2 version also and you get two paint schemes, French Navy and British Pacific Fleet. It has folding wings and working tail hook also.
