First Light

Postby ozzy72 » Sat Jul 12, 2003 7:18 am

I've been reading First Light by Geoffrey Wellum recently, and its brilliant! A must have for anyone interested in Spitfires, or WWII aviation.
So I took some shots in his honour......

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I have been constantly remembering ever since I bought CFS1. (about 2 years ago).

Well said ozzy ;)

Great stuff Mark and well said.

I've got CFS3 loaded but just don't get on with it. I just seem to run out of ammo in 9.3 seconds and then don't know what to do with myself.

After seeing your shots maybe I ought to give it another try!  :)

dammit, i'm seconds away from firing up IL-2:FB and shooting down tons of russians like Erich Hartmann. (the best WW-2 pilot ,352 kills within 2 years)

i recently read a book about the fighter pilots of WW2 ("the fighter pilots" ,by Edward H. Sims). there are some very nice stories in this book, in which many well-known pilots take part, like , R.R. Stanford Tuck (RAF), James Lacey (RAF) ,Douglas Bader (RAF), J.E. Johnson (RAF), H.J. Marseille (LW) , Erich Hartmann (LW), Adolf Galland (LW) and R.S. Johnson (USAAF).
