Eastern Front,1941

Postby ATI_7500 » Fri May 30, 2003 6:34 am

in 1941,the Luftwaffe was a mighty air force and after the first month of the russian war they had shot down over 7500 russian air craft. i too part in some of those "turkey shoots" and here are the results. enjoy,guys...

during a ground attack with my beloved Bf 109, i almost crashed... (i really hit the ground, but fortunately, i suffered no damage).

during the next mission,i encountered some Pe-2s. no luck on the first run...

but i got him after the next try...
Image
scramble, scramble! some russian airplanes are trying to attack our airfield! immediate take off and facing the enemy during a beautiful sunset.

first victim (i hate those ugly biplanes, cause they are well armoured and too slow for me *g*):

last victim:

my squadron returned to base without any losses ,but with the thankfulness of the ground crew.

and these are the reasons why my uncle calls me "staffelf

nice shots...about the quality...set your aintialiasing of in FS but set it to 4X at your video card settings. it will help you to get rid of those annoying crispy edges. don't know more about these settings...i read about it in a topic here a while ago...maybe that person can give you advice  ;)
Raw power...the J-58.

Il-2 looks nice, good ground scenery. I still think CFS3 is better.

Don't trust the scenery. The CFS3 stuff is actual trees while in IL2 those are just layerd textures. They work well when your above them but when you can see straight though them at low level.... :P

i don't know if CFS3 is better.it eats your hardware for breakfast. i'd prefer IL-2:Forgotten Battles, but i don't have the money for it.

current campaign status: 24 missions flown, 27 kills, iron cross 2nd class, iron cross 1st class, german cross.

shall i post some more pics (in a better quality,of course ;)) ?
