The Aleutians

Postby ramsa329 » Sat Mar 08, 2003 11:38 pm

Often forgotten in the history of WWII the battle for the Aleutian Islands off the coast of Alaska.

This is a P-40E Warhawk engaging some Betty bombers during that campaign.

Lovely shots, I like the last one, and the one two before the end with the pilot bailing.

Great pics. Thought you may be interested to know that there is a version of this P-40 for FS2002 as well. It is different than the CFS2 one, it has lights etc.

I also took the following snapshot while at one of the Duxford (UK) airshows last year. Not a great picture and in the wrong forum but it seemed relevent.

Thanks for your replies,

Yes there was a battle for the Aleutian Islands inWWII.

These shots are all Cfs2.

Ivory I really like that shot very nice I wish I could get that yellow to look so bright as it does in real life. In the original original size they're good but it's hard keeping the colors completely clear in the 800x600 format.
