:) ;) :D ;D

ADI

the reason for this is:

the bmp are not exactly a regular bmp, in fact these bmp are special cos they have 2 diferent layers in it. Let me explain better, in order to have reflective texture, there is a layer called alpha (alpha channel) responsible for the reflective tones and the bmp itself.
So, regular softwares (paint, photoshop, paintshop) don't "open' these layers and everything is black or blank.
The solution? D/l DXTBmp, a software (free) that will open these 2 layers in order to U work with em
Hope I helped! ;)

That is nice there Erez --> As you can tell i have read your emails in regards to me updating Roger Hardy's Model using FSDS2.
I too tried all one could to contact this bloke, but to no avail.
As the source file for this (& the DH Vampire/Venom) is public domain at www.freeflightdesign.com, it is important to keep all original documentation and credit the original authour. This is what i did with this model.

Now the main reason one released it was the fact that I had actually changed a fair bit on the model (such as the 3d gear bays, part renaming & animation) but at the same time keeping it as original as possible as the original work was very good. This is why i also put the source file with the aircraft.

As for the repaints, there are quite a few repaints that have been released for the Meteor Model, both for my update (see http://www.gjsmith.com) and for the original (see www.sim-outhouse.com) which was converted for CFS2 use using the source file from FreeFlight Design. Thus considering this I would personally hope that these repaints ARE released so we can ALL enjoy them. And i would like to see your repaints there Foo_Fighter!!
