I've not only heard of it but I saw it demonstrated at the Farnborough Air Show back in the 1950s along with some other interesting prototypes.
Makes me feel old. :whistle:

I suppose the unusual engine layout made it ideal for use as as an engine testbed.

I can't remember now. It was a long time ago & I might have seen it at more than one show which was an annual event back then.
There were three versions, the original design with 4 Avons, then with one Gyron & finally this one with two Gyrons.
