Spirit Lake Ice Fishing

Postby BigTruck » Sat Feb 06, 2016 8:00 pm

Some fishermen wanted to do some ice fishing on Spirit Lake. Risky, but it must be beautiful up there, I agreed to take them.

Climbing out near the Oregon Border

Circling in. Not much air up here, going to have to bring her in hot!

Doing my best to eas it to the ice without falling through

Nice backdrop 8-)

Time to get out of here before the clouds roll in

I can see them coming in, got out just in time!

Goodly morning BigTruck... <<q

Cold and Crisp here...great morning to go chase some snowmobilers and buzz some ice huts with a ski equipped bugsmasher...

Now here is a Link for you and anyone else interested in aviating flying machines off ice... ;)

It is rather difficult to simulate flying off skis and floats on a non-motion flight simulator.

Pictures are wonderful....well done... ;)
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Thank you thank you! I'll be honest I had no plans for this flight at all, I just took off, drunk, and flew in one direction, saw an open lake with a cool mountain next to it, landed and took off, and then researched the details for the post.
