Bits & pieces.Twenty odd years ago I worked for Martin Marietta.
Well, Martin Marietta was formed from the merger of
Glenn L. Martin Company and the
American-Marietta Corporation.
Needless to say, a lot of "stuff" that was no longer needed went into storage.
The Glenn L. Martin Company had
more than a few WWII success stories., some big, and some not so big.
My story come in when I was asked to assist in a drug search.
I didn't find any drugs, but I did find something that I wish I could have smuggled out.
It was some very old plans marked
SECRET, for a 1945 amphibious fighter.
Needless to say, it was never developed, and was not really a "secret". Simply a forgotten piece of history.
Something similar to this: (Except without the Japanese stuff on it, of course.
