Cubbing over Maui

Postby krigl » Wed Feb 29, 2012 4:47 pm

Continuing my Flight-inspired 'What if there were only Hawaii in FSX' project... possibly a bad idea as people will be thoroughly sick of Hawaii soon but whatever, eh?... by exploring much of Maui in the default Cub.

I used freeware mesh for the whole island chain from Simv along with a great Maui package by someone who (I think I read in the read me) is a local... he's made it look great in my opinion: here's the package: http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... ui&x=0&y=0

It was rather windy and the Cub needed about 5 metres to stop. The groundloop helped.

We needed another 5 metres to get airborne again

Nice!  You got some good angles and lighting on there!

And amazingly, I caught it about the exact second you posted. :D

Will have to grab those sceneries... strange how I like the looks of THEM so much more than Flight's Hawaii... brings back so many memories, of when I first got FSX and after completing the one hawaii sightseeing mission spent a lot of time tooling around maui, havent flown there in ages! Great work, keep it up!

Thanks gents!! Can't get a fixed wing much lower and slower than the Cub and still be in the air...
